Tiny Bump @ 9 Weeks

What's baby doing?
Your new resident is nearly an inch long — about the size of a grape — and weighs just a fraction of an ounce. She's starting to look more and more human. Her essential body parts are accounted for, though they'll go through plenty of fine-tuning in the coming months. Other changes abound: Your baby's heart finishes dividing into four chambers, and the valves start to form — as do her tiny teeth. The embryonic "tail" is completely gone. Your baby's organs, muscles, and nerves are kicking into gear. The external sex organs are there but won't be distinguishable as male or female for another few weeks. Her eyes are fully formed, but her eyelids are fused shut and won't open until 27 weeks. She has tiny earlobes, and her mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct. The placenta is developed enough now to take over most of the critical job of producing hormones. Now that your baby's basic physiology is in place, she's poised for rapid weight gain.

How Far Along? My best guess is 9 weeks. We don't have our first appointment for two more weeks, and hopefully we'll find out then. I may end up having to re-number these posts.

Total Weight Gained/Loss? So far I'm holding steady.

Maternity Clothes? I'm definitely in maternity pants. Around 7 weeks I stopped being able to comfortably wear my regular jeans zipped. At 8 weeks I gave up on the whole hair-tie/belly band thing and just made the switch to maternity. It actually lessened my nausea and made me a whole lot more comfortable!

Sleep?  I've been trying to go to bed with the kids, sometimes even talking them into laying down in my bed with me a little early to watch a movie. I usually wake up a little before my alarm and lay there until it's time to get up. I haven't had to start napping on my lunch breaks yet, though I do get pretty tired towards the end of the day.

Food Cravings?  apple juice, pizza, pasta

Food aversions?  bbq - my stomach turns and I get a nasty taste in my mouth just thinking about it

Belly Button?   A-ok

Gender?  For a while my gutt was telling me boy and I got pretty excited about the idea, but I'd still really love another girl. I think we'll be thrilled either way, but another girl would simplify things.

Morning sickness?  Mine has been more concentrated in the evening, though it's starting to ease up.

Best Moment of the Week?  Logan and I have been having some nice moments. He seems to understand that pretty soon the attention is going to be split 3 ways so he's been trying to soak up as much as possible while he can. I love it!
What I miss: Pooping. There. I said it.

What I'm looking forward to: Pooping?

Milestones? Apparently I'm growing a tiny set of genitals this week. Huzzah!

I'm pregnant! No, really.

I am super excited to announce that in October we will be blessed with the arrival of our 3rd (and final) baby! We are just over the moon and can't wait to get through all this nausea and onto the good stuff! I expect to get back to regular posting as the pregnancy progresses, so expect to start seeing more of me in the weeks to come!

2011 Catch Up - Part 3

I almost completely forgot our trip to Florida in April! We go every year with Kyle's parents and sister's family, and as always, I took a TON of pictures!

Playing cards with my sexy husband on the drive south.

Creepiest East Bunny EVER

Egg Hunt

I did also manage to get a nice smiley pic, but I just love her Elvis face so much more!

Glamour Girl

We had lunch at a dinosaur version of Rainforest Cafe. I can't for the life of me remember what it is called, as I did not particularly enjoy spending $15 on a burger, but the kids LOVED IT!

Kyle and I before swimming with the manatees. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten the pictures from the actual swim developed yet.

It was SUCH and awesome experience! We spent about an hour with 3 adults and 2 babies.

2011 Catch Up - Part 2

Labor Day Camping in WV (aka my birthday) - September

We spent Labor Day Weekend (also known around here as BIG BIRTHDAY WEEKEND) camping in West Virginia with my parents, my bff Kati (whose birthday is 3 days before mine) and her guy, Joe. Kati and I spent a good portion of our youth at camp with my parents so we though it would be fun to celebrate our birthdays there again this year just like old times. The kids (and our guys) had a blast and we're hoping to make many more trips up there next summer.

Swimming in the small lake.

Kyle, Logan, and Joe

This picture always makes me laugh because Joe farted right before it was taken so he's smirking, Logan is making a yuck face, and Kyle is cracking up. This was right after they went for a little hike, hence the "walking sticks".

BIRTHDAY GIRLS!!!

Logan caught a frog. We also found a couple of tiny baby mice.

Group picture on our last day.

Visit from my Brother and Sister - September

Halloween

Logan decided to go as Batman this year so I dyed a onesie and some tights and made Viv this Poison Ivy costume. It took a TON of ivy leaves and several hours of cursing but I think it turned out pretty cute.

2011 Catch Up

Hi! Remember me? Well, it's a new year and I've realized that I have gotten so far behind on my blog, I should probably close out 2011 before I move on to a bigger and hopefully better year. I didn't make any actual resolutions, but staying up to date in these here parts sounds like a good one. A lot has been going down in the Lynch household over the last few months, so here's hoping 2011 took the drama with it and 2012 brings back the laughter and fun. But for now, let's just get caught up on the last year . . . starting with the summer - which is, I'm pretty sure, just about where I left off. I've skipped over a lot of stuff so it's probably going to take several posts to catch up. Just keep in mind that these next few posts are all likely to be EXTREMELY picture heavy.

Viv's 1st Baseball Game - May

Air & Space Museum for Kyle's Birthday - June

My parents work for the company that made our spacesuits (and many other important military products), so Logan was pretty psyched to get his picture taken with this one. He was telling everyone who walked past that his Grandma helped make those gloves.

For his birthday, I bought him a flight lesson, you know, to go along with the whole birthday theme. He was pretty surprised. Lol.

Viv's Snow White 1st Birthday Party - August

Snow White and her Prince

Monthly Pictures

Viv's Smash Cake

Logan's 1st Day of Preschool

We celebrated Logan's 1st Day by taking the kids to a local carnival that evening.

I suppose that's enough for now. More tomorrow . . . maybe . . . hopefully.

So, tell me, how has 2012 been treating you so far?
